Department of Surgical Gastroenterology
Department started in January 2001 (Ref.No: G.O.Ms 318, Health and Family Welfare dated 28.06.1999.
The Professor and Head of the department is supported by two Assistant Professors.
Bed strength: 30 beds
Equipments: 1. Video Endoscope System.
Video Gastroscope.
Video Colonoscope.
2. Advanced Video Laparascope system
3. Harmonic Scalpel
OP Days: Two days in aweek – Wednesday & Friday
Time 10AM to 12 Noon.
Annual Average OP: Around 3500 cases/year
Annual Average IP: Around 450 cases/ year
Operation Theatre functions three days in a week:
Monday & Saturday for Open Surgeries.
Thursday – Laparascopic surgeries.
Endoscopies : Three days in a week
Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday
Performing about 150 scopes per month.
