::: : College of Pharmacy

Pharmacy is the health care profession that links the health sciences and the chemical sciences.

Pharmacy education in India traditionally has been industry and product oriented. In contrast to the situation in developed nations, graduate pharmacists prefer placements in the pharmaceutical industry.

Pharmacists represent the third largest group of healthcare professionals in the world. In India too, it is a highly sought after professional course. This has resulted in a deluge of pharmacy graduates being produced every year with most of them opting for industry or research

The pharmaceutical education imparted to students in India concentrates more on increasing self-employability quotient, and enhancing their entry into academia and the pharmaceutical industry.

Pharmacy is the study of medicine, looking at how drugs are created, their chemistry and interactions, and everything else a qualified pharmacist is required to know.
